TFWA is committed to reducing the event’s environmental impact by cancelling airmail distribution of printed registration documents and urging all delegates to register online instead. Online pre-registration has been gaining in popularity over recent years.
The annual event will be staged in the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France from Sunday 17 to Friday 22 October. Leisure activities and an Opening Cocktail party on Sunday 17 will offer delegates relaxed business networking opportunities before the working week gets underway.
Open to all delegates, the popular Conference on Monday 18 will set the tone for the week. In recent years speakers have included international statesmen, commentators, analysts and industry experts who bring their varied perspectives of the global economy to the duty free and travel retail community. Several workshops will take place later in the week focused on issues of crucial importance to various sectors of the industry.
The exhibition, which opens at 11.30 on Monday, will feature a huge selection of products supplied to airports, airlines, marine and border retail including fragrances and cosmetics, jewellery and watches, wine and spirits, confectionery and fine food, fashion and accessories, tobacco, gifts, toys and electronics companies.
Pre-registration is the only way to secure Full Delegate status, which includes access to all networking and social events, including the Opening Cocktail, Le Premium Evening and the after-hours venue The Scene.
Online pre-registration, which will remain open until 9 September at www.tfwa.com, allows visitors to plan their visit effectively with the help of pre-planning tools including the full pre-registered visitor list and the online guide to exhibitors with a powerful search engine to facilitate detailed agenda planning.
