Frontier Awards
Frontier is delighted to announce a call for entries to the 26th Frontier Awards. We look forward to another year of top quality submissions from retailers and suppliers, reflecting another year of growth for the industry.
The Frontier Awards have a rich heritage stretching back to the very first gathering of the duty-free community in the South of France in 1985. Twenty-six years later, they occupy a special place at the very heart of our industry, and the star-studded roster of former winners constitutes a veritable who's who of the travel-retail sector.
One of the factors that makes the Awards so special is the unique judging process. Each year we gather together a panel of six top executives from the industry who collectively boast a wealth of experience in the various product categories and geographical regions. A profile of the 2010 judges can be found on the following pages.
Companies are invited to enter nine of the ten Awards categories, and the information contained in Frontier Magazine, on the Frontier Awards entry form and here will offer guidance on how to compile your submission.
NEW Airport Retailer of the Year and Land-based Border / Down town Retailer of the Year used to be based on nominations from the industry, but following feedback from the industry, we have decided to open the categories to all entries. Therefore, if you operate an airport or land-based operation, and you believe your operation to be amongst the best, do not forget to enter the Awards!
The Outstanding Contribution of the Year will be selected directly by our panel of judges and, unlike the other categories, will not require any submission from the industry or otherwise. However, if you feel that a certain individual, association or company deserves particular attention, feel free to contact us with your choice and the reasons why they should be recognised for their input in travel-retail.
On Wednesday October 20th, 400 of the industry's finest will gather in Cannes to celebrate the 2010 Frontier Awards. Make your submission and, who knows, you could be collecting one of our much-desired trophies!
