ANDREA BELARDINI: CEO EUROPE, THE NUANCE GROUP
Andrea Belardini joined Nuance as CEO Europe in July 2009. In this function, he is responsible for The Nuance Group's European region, which in 2008 accounted for 43% of the Group's total turnover. He reports directly to Roberto Graziani, president & CEO of The Nuance Group. Andrea worked for Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) from 2000 to June 2009. He joined ADR as executive vice-president of strategy and development. His experience with ADR includes five years as managing director of ADR International Airports South Africa, and board member of Airports Company South Africa. Before joining Nuance, he held the position of executive vice president commercial and in this role was responsible for ADR's commercial business from 2004. Prior to ADR, Andrea worked for the Accord Group's Carlson Wagonlit Travel division where he eventually became vice-president of Southern Europe operations. Andrea is married and has one daughter.
CATHERINE BONELLI: INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL DIRECTOR, DEVANLAY / LACOSTE
Catherine Bonelli has a long career in human resources, working for Coca Cola for ten years after completing a Masters degree in Economic Science and a DESS in human resources management. Catherine joined Devanlay / Lacoste in 2001 as human resources director for international distribution and was appointed as the international travel retail director in 2008. Devanlay / Lacoste is currently present in 114 countries and has just over 170 points of sale in travel-retail and duty-free. The Lacoste product line includes a wide selection of clothing, footwear, perfume, leather goods, glasses, and even household items. The company sells two items per second accross four continents. Catherine enjoys cooking, eating and sports.
JAMES H. PERRY: Vice President & Managing Director, Global Travel Retail
James Perry is an Assistant Vice President & Chief of Staff, Regions. He is responsible for developing and executing the operational business plan for the global spirits and wine businesses. In addition, he indirectly assumes the overseeing of activities of certain members for the Brown-Forman's global sales operations. In the past James was the manager of government relations and lobbied for the interests of Brown-Forman before international, federal and state legislative and regulatory agencies. Before joining Brown-Forman, James served as Director, State Affairs, for the Council for Affordable Health Care, an Alexandria, VA based trade association of insurance companies offering market driven health care plans. James also served as Counsel to Americans for Tax Reform, a Washington, D.C. think tank. Perry currently serves on the Board of the Wine Institute and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Perry received a JD with honors from Michigan State University, the Detroit College of Law and his LL.M from Georgetown University National Law Center in Washington, D.C. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Michigan.
MAIKE KIESSLING: MANAGING DIRECTOR DISTRIBUTOR MARKETS AND TRAVEL RETAIL, LA PRAIRIE
Since 2006, Maike Kiessling has been responsible for the worldwide travel-retail business (with over 80 operators) and for the Distributor Markets business (with more than 70 distributors worldwide) for all brands of the La Prairie Group. She started her career at the La Prairie Group in 1992, working in the Consumer and Retail Communication Department, before being promoted to general manager Distributor Markets for Europe in 1998. Kiessling then went on to take over the responsibility for the development and launch of the group's most recent brand, SBT Skin Biology Therapy, in 2004. Before joining the La Prairie Group, Maike Kiessling held positions at Christian Dior Parfums in Germany (1984) and the Estée Lauder Group (1987), where her career took on an international scope.
FRANCISCO HEREDIA LAFUENTE: COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR, LONDON SUPPLY
Born in Buenos Aires, Francisco "Paco" Heredia Lafuente graduated in Naval Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional de Buenos Aires; his other qualifications include a Master's Degree (Hons) in Business Administration (MBA) and a Diploma "Cum Laude". He began to make his way in the duty-free business in the 1970s, and since 1986 he has contributed to the vigorous growth of London Supply S.A., covering different management positions including: new projects, purchases, marketing, public relations and project leader of the Puerto Iguazú Free Zone complex and Puerto Pañuelo Port in Bariloche. Now serving as London Supply's commercial director, he has also attended and presided over a range of courses and seminars in private, public and academic fields. As of December 2009, Lafuente is also serving a president of the South American Association of Duty Free Stores, otherwise known as ASUTIL.
CAROLYN MARIANI: VICE-PRESIDENT, IN-FLIGHT SALES & MARKETING AMERICAS, DFASS
Carolyn began her duty-free career working for a UK-based design agency that specialised in developing and implementing creative concepts for merchandising displays, packaging design, sales promotions and brand-building projects. During this period her responsibilities were mainly in airport and ferry duty-free retail outlets, which eventually led to recruitment into the in-flight side of the business. In 1997, Carolyn was hired by Alpha Onboard Sales & Services as an in-flight buyer responsible for vendor relations, product selection and catalogue production, working on international airlines accounts such as Thai Airways and Air India, as well as UK-based carriers. Returning to her native US, Carolyn joined DFASS in 2003 as vendor relations manager. Since then DFASS has achieved significant growth and, in 2009, Carolyn was promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, In-Flight Sales & Marketing, Americas.
