Pernod Ricard gets set to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with Jameson

Jameson St Patrick's Day 2018 activation at Amsterdam Airport SchipholPernod Ricard Global Travel Retail is encouraging travellers to “take some Irish with them” in a series of airport activations for Jameson this St Patrick’s Day.

The campaign has been launched to showcase Jameson’s new limited edition bottle which has been designed by Irish artist Claudine O’Sullivan and is inspired by the tales of the Fianna – a young warrior pack in Irish mythology.

“St Patrick’s Day is a time to celebrate the Irish culture and attitude and, this year, Jameson is celebrating the spirit of the unexpected. Across March, Jameson will activate across key airports to honour the deeper meaning of St Patrick’s Day with activations that celebrate bringing friends together. It’s about embracing those unplanned experiences, whether on a trip away or a night out, as these are the moments that end up being the most memorable,” explained Lisa McCann, Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail Jameson brand director.

A pop-up space is set to spring up in Jameson’s home city at Dublin International Airport during March 2018 to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. The space will transport elements from Jameson Distillery Bow Street in Dublin to Dublin International Airport, including exposed brick, bar stools and words “burned” into the bar.

Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail said the space will invite travellers to interact with the brand with tastings and games, including checkers and an arm-wrestling simulator.

The company will also host in-store experiences celebrating the full Jameson portfolio including Jameson Original, Jameson Caskmates and the global travel retail exclusive, Jameson Deconstructed Series, across airports in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, the UK and Amsterdam.
